This is a New Season in my Life

I live with Nanny, and my cousin, Anne, lives five houses away. We try as many days as possible to get outside in the morning, walk around the small neighborhood, and a bit beyond. Sometimes our friend and neighbor Debra come with us. These walks are good for the soul as much as they're good for the body...

Sometimes, we joke that if anyone could hear the ramblings, it would make a good podcast. Some may like it, some may relate, and after her daughter Jess came with us one day and proclaimed, "You know people can hear you guys, right" 🤣 we realized that we should talk quite because some may be offended 🤣🤣

These walks have been another of the best gifts in this process of change.
We live in a beautiful area on the canals of Lake Hopatcong. While we walk, I am often so happy to be back by the water 💧 I'm a Pisces 🐠, and water grounds me. We are usually gabbing so much that I think "I should take a 📷" and then forget as we walk and talk.

This Fall was bright and vibrant! Did you Northern Ladies notice that too!! God, it was beautiful 😍 everywhere I traveled, I couldn't help but look out the windows. Reds, oranges, yellows in all the shades. No matter where I was, I watched and looked at it all. Never once did I take a picture; I just looked at it, soaked it in, and admired what was in front of me.

Yesterday, I noticed that the peak was over, the leaves were falling, temperatures were dropping, and just like that, we're headed into a new season. There were still a few trees and bushes hanging onto their beauty amongst the change, amongst the fallen. That's when I realized what a metaphor was before my eyes in real time for the moment of life I was in.

This is a new season in my life where the old has been stripped away, and a few pieces of me are clinging to the beauty of what was created in the last season. Just like it always happens, there will be a season when everything returns. I just have to wait for it, and as much as I am going to wish for the warm weather and the beauty to come back quickly, I have no control and will have to wait until it is ready.
