Kalanchoe blossfeldiana Calandiva Red, a cultivar of the Kalanchoe succulent family, is a popular "gift plant" because it has beautiful leathery, dark-green leaves and stunning clusters of flowers that last a long time. Calandiva Red is a relatively slow grower and can reach approximately 12-18” tall. This is an evergreen perennial plant, producing flowers every year in the winter/spring. Its dense clusters of double red trumpet-shaped flowers rise above the foliage, featuring rose-like red petals. We try our best to send the plants with flowers, but if the plants have stopped blooming, we will send them without flowers until the blooming period is back (usually about every 6 weeks). Deadheading and Reblooming – Pinch off blooms as they fade to encourage a more blooms. On average, Kalanchoe and Calandiva bloom for several weeks, if not months. Once they have finished blooming, they will require a rest period (approximately 6 weeks) before they will bloom again.
